The Nature Conservancy is working to protect and restore the natural flow of rivers at more than 400 sites across the U.S, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia with the help of a wide range of organizations, governments, and communities.

A few examples of freshwater conservation sites around the Conservancy include: 

The Conservancy is engaged at many other sites across the United States through its Sustainable Rivers Project.

In addition to these on-the-ground and in-the-water conservation projects, the Global Freshwater Team works across the Conservancy to integrate and implement ecologically sustainable water management into freshwater conservation and management around the world.
