Conservancy Scientist Is a Featured Speaker at Seasons of Sapelo Art Exhibit May 8 in Atlanta

Overview:
Seasons on Sapelo, an art exhibition by McIntosh County, Georgia, resident Jeannine Cook is on the road. Currently on display at the Emory University Law Center in Atlanta, the exhbit will soon travel to Atlanta's Fernbank Science Center, where it will remain through August.

The Seasons on Sapelo exhibition features art that Cook created on Sapelo Island during the winter, spring and summer of 2007. The collection of work in watercolor, graphite, pen and ink and silverpoint celebrates Sapelo’s historical structures, diverse landscapes and rich ecology.

An opening event will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the planetarium at the Fernbank Science Center.

Featured Speakers
:
Christi Lambert, southeast Georgia conservation director for The Nature Conservancy, will join artist Jeannine Cook and representatives from the Sierra Club and the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve.
