Welcome to The Nature Conservancy of Iowa. To date the Iowa Chapter has over 9,000 members and owns or holds conservation easements on more than 35 preserves covering over 6,000 acres of land. We are here to preserve the natural biodiversity of Iowa.  With less than one-tenth of one percent of native areas left, we need your help to not only save these places, but to reconstruct our lost heritage.

Our major landscape scale sights consist of:

- Loess Hills in western Iowa.
- Driftless Area in northeast Iowa.
- Lower Cedar River Valley in southeastern Iowa.
- Little Sioux River Valley in northwestern Iowa.
- Grand River Grasslands in southcentral Iowa
