Overview:                                                Volunteer workers are needed to help Kristen Hase, the Natural Resource Program Manager for the National Park Service, with prairie restoration at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. The work will consist of digging prairie cordgrass plugs and transplanting them into designated prairie restoration sites. 

The work will likely be dirty so wear long pants, boots, and gloves.  Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the historic ranch headquarters at 9:00 a.m. The preserve is located two miles north of Strong City, Kansas.
