Konza Prairie Education Program Needs Volunteers:
The Konza Environmental Education Program gives tours of the Konza
Prairie.  Many school groups and other organizations visit Konza to
learn about the tallgrass prairie ecosystem.  Volunteer tour guides
(docents) are needed to help with programs and tours.  As a volunteer,
you can choose the type of work that suites your schedule and
interests.  There is a particular need for docents that can volunteer
their time during the week.  If you love the prairie and would like to
share your enthusiasm with others, consider becoming a docent at Konza
Prairie.  For further information, please contact Dr. Valerie Wright,
Environmental Educator/Naturalist, at (785) 587-0381.  Or visit the
Konza education web site at http://www.ksu.edu/konza/keep, for more
information.  Training begins each year in February.
