More than 180 people attended “The Future of Conservation Conference” held in January at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, MI. Representatives from the local, state and private sectors of Michigan filled the conference to learn about new and developing ways to protect the vital natural resources of our state and ensure a promising future. Sessions on the conservation and recreational lands (CARL) database, water withdrawal and wind technology discussed the importance of protection efforts, regional planning and renewable, clean energy. A lively discussion followed as participants engaged with each other to further learn and apply this knowledge into action.
