Benefit Concert Yields Excellent Results
The Mosby Music Group raised more than $5,000 for The Nature Conservancy at their "Concert for Conservation" at the Lucas School House in mid July. The concert raised money and community awareness for the work that the Conservancy is doing in Missouri, the United States and internationally. Parts of the concert were accompanied by a photo montage of sites, from marine regions to mountains, where the Conservancy is preserving the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
The musicians performed on behalf of the Conservancy for more than 110 attendees, including those at the preview party. The performances also opened the door to radio audiences on KDHX and KWMU. In addition, the event was covered by St. Louis Today, Ladue News and Spirit Seekers. Todd Mosby, head of Mosby Music Group, organized the event with Kelly Hall, from the Conservancy. Mosby said, "I hope we can continue to have events like this in the St. Louis area and use this event as model to raise awareness and money for the Conservancy across the state and in other cities and venues. We exceeded our expectations and are pleased with the results."
