Turning the Truckee

TNC and its partners have long been working to turn the tide back in the Truckee River's favor.Last fall, after more than a decade of quiet and steady progress, we literally turned the Truckee, when the river's flow was redirected into a new channel at TNC's McCarran Ranch.

Strategic Planning

TNC scientists and trustees recently updated the Nevada Chapter's strategic plan, identifying Nevada's 21 highest priority landscapes and committing TNC resources to protecting 12 of those by 2015.
