Volunteer with Conservancy staff and help protect the Piping Plovers! The Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge is a stopover for many migratory birds, including endangered beach-nesters like the Piping Plover that reside here during the summer months.

With an annual increase in visitation to the Refuge, protecting Piping Plovers becomes increasingly critical. To provide a safe nesting habitat for the birds, while also attempting to allow for an appropriate level of human use, the Conservancy erects symbolic fencing around nesting areas. Help us install posts and ropes that serve as the symbolic fencing.
