Citizen Science Open House with Mothing Excursion

Date
Friday, March 28, 2008

Hours
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Are you a student interested in becoming part of the next generation of conservationists? Are you retired, with time on your hands and a desire to get outdoors? Are you interested in preserving our native wildlife and habitat? Want to participate in a family outing?

Join us to learn more about the Conservancy's Citizen Science program and find out how you can participate in real on-the-ground science surveys at various Cape May County nature preserves. The data our Citizen Scientists collect is used to inform conservation decisions with regard to ecological management and species protection. No experience necessary - only a willingness to learn!

Afterwards, join the Conservancy's moth expert, Dr. Dale Schweitzer, for a nighttime mothing expedition to find the rare and common moths that call Eldora Nature Preserve home.

Location
Delaware Bayshores Center of the Eldora Nature Preserve
