Overview:                                                  Steve will present a one-day workshop on photography. Before the camera can be utilized effectively, there must be an understanding and appreciation of how one recognizes grace and beauty. Then it is a matter of how to make one's imagery communicate that vision. Part of the class time will be spent on this first "conceptualizing" step. The program will consist of a brief class session and discussion, followed by a photo exploration of the Sam's Point Preserve for hands-on experience. After lunch (please bring your own) we will return to the Conservation Center for a slide presentation while the film is developed. After we receive the processed film and prints we will review our results and provide feedback to each participant.                                                                               Meet at the Sam’s Point Conservation Center. Moderate.                                            Please call Sam’s Point Preserve at (845) 647-7989 to register.
