Oct. 25 Bluff Mountain work day

Join mountains staff and volunteers Saturday, October 25 to remove Multiflora rose from Ida's Bog. The bog is home to many endangered bog turtles and the rose is encroaching on their habitat.

What to wear: Wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Dressing in layers is a good idea as the weather can change quickly. Be prepared for rain.

What to bring: Work gloves, hat, sunblock, plenty of water and snacks.

If you are interested, please email Mtns_volunteers@tnc.org or call the office at (828) 350-1431. Reservations are required.
