Preserve Monitoring: A Critical Contribution

There are many threats to the lands and waters that The Nature Conservancy protects across Pennsylvania.  Some of these threats include boundary encroachment, illegal trespass for dumping or the use of off-road vehicles, the violation of conservation easement restrictions or the collection or poaching of rare plants or animals.

Volunteer Preserve Monitors are our eyes and ears to help prevent these threats from destroying habitat for the plant and animal species we work so hard to protect.

To learn how and where you can become a Volunteer Preserve Monitor, please contact Molly Anderson, Director of Volunteer & Outreach Programs at molly_anderson@tnc.org or (717) 232-6001, extension 117.
