Shaw’s Supermarkets

Suporting Clayplain Restoration

Shaw’s Supermarkets is committed to doing their part to reduce their impact on the environment from their daily operations.  This year, they are taking that commitment one step further, helping The Nature Conservancy build healthy forests for the future.

With help from Shaw’s and hundreds of volunteers, The Nature Conservancy will plant thousands of trees over the next year to restore Vermont’s clayplain forests that once dominated the landscape, but are today extremely rare.  Planting native trees is one way to protect our local environment while helping to secure our future and reduce the rate of climate change.

Join volunteers in the field tree planting in April through June, and from June through October assist in seed collection and tree propagation at the Native Plant Restoration Nursery
