Event Overview

Join the Maryland/DC chapter of The Nature Conservancy as we plant 10,000 longleaf pines as our Nassawango Creek Preserve. We will be meeting at the intersection of Bear Swamp Road and Colburne Mill Road.

This is a two-day event taking place on:

  • Wednesday, February 26 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Thursday, February 27 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Volunteers may sign up for one or both days. 

Notes to keep in mind:

  • We recommend packing water and a lunch.
  • Please dress in layers and be ready for rain, snow and/or sun. The weather is extremely variable in this region.
  • Wear sturdy shoes/hiking boots that you don't mind getting wet.
  • Pack dry socks/a change of clothes for the ride home-you won't regret it!

Nassawango Creek Preserve on the Eastern Shore in Maryland is approximately 2.5 hours from Washington/Baltimore.
