Biography
Angie Becker Kudelka joined The Nature Conservancy in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota in 2023 as the Deputy Chapter Director of Conservation. She works closely with colleagues and partners to implement practical strategies grounded in science to protect biodiversity and tackle climate change.
Angie also serves on the board of the non-profit Urban Roots. Angie spent 13 years at the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources where she was the Deputy Executive Director accountable for conservation strategy, organizational effectiveness, policy and budget. She has taught sociology and nonprofit leadership courses at Minnesota State University Mankato. Previously, Angie served as Director of Programs at the non-profit Rivers Council of Minnesota where she focused on community organizing around conservation-based science and policy issues.
Angie started her career in North Dakota State Parks before moving to Iowa to convert a small farm from row-crop agriculture into various conversation practices. There, she worked at the Clinton County Soil and Water Conservation District. Angie earned an M.S. in sociology human services planning and administration and a B.A. in environmental resources education.
