Biography
Audrey Epp Schmidt joined The Nature Conservancy in 2023 as the Agroforestry Program Manager for The Nature Conservancy’s North America Regenerative Agriculture Program. In this role, she manages a $60 million USDA Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities grant to advance agroforestry as a natural climate solution, working collaboratively with staff and partners throughout the United States.
For more than 15 years, Audrey has worked at the nexus of regenerative agriculture and environmental conservation, demonstrating great success at convening new networks of multi-sector interests into coalitions working toward a shared goal. She has previously held positions at Chesapeake Farm to Table, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Propagate Ventures.
Audrey holds a master’s in geography and a graduate certificate in food systems, the environment and public health from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Maryland outside of Washington, D.C.
