His objectives include developing burn plans, orchestrating and leading prescribed fire operations, and helping to train and develop our field staff to grow our fire program.
Bruce joined TNC with a wealth of wildland and prescribed fire experience from working with the MI DNR for more than 30 years! He also taught fire science classes at Lansing Community College for 17 years to help train and develop National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) firefighters in Michigan. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, building things, walking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, yard work and being outdoors with his wife, Beverly. Together, they also relish spending time with their children, grandchildren, family and friends.
