Biography

Jeff joined The Nature Conservancy in February 2024. As a Conservation Associate on the Michigan Regenerative Agriculture team, he works in coordination with MMPA to implement their Dairy Feed in Focus program, which incentivizes the adoption and implementation of forward-thinking practices to help reduce the carbon footprint of the dairy supply chain. Jeff is also co-operator/owner of Bluemer Farms in Blanchard, MI, a diverse operation specializing in beef cattle and cover crop production.

Jeff attended Lake Land college in Mattoon, Illinois, before transferring into Michigan State University where he earned an Associate’s Degree in animal science. On farm, Jeff’s passion is seeking continual improvement in the health and quality of his soils, plants and livestock.
