Johnny Cabrera: Conservation Portfolio Director, Northeast U.S. Division

As the Northeast U.S. Division Conservation Portfolio Director, Johnny oversees the conservation portfolio across 10 business units. This work includes leading the development and implementation of the portfolio, strategy, and budget allocation associated with 135 projects and over $400m invested towards the Division’s biggest 2030 Goal Outcomes.

Prior to his contributions to the Northeast Division, Johnny served as Chief of Staff, Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) where he led initiatives, projects, and strategies and provided strategic, substantive, and operational support to the CIO and the broader organization. He adeptly facilitated the efforts of the Information Technology Leadership Team, while collaborating with teams across TNC to execute organizational initiatives. Johnny's career path also includes a tenure in the Legal Department within the Latin America and Caribbean Division.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Johnny spent much of his childhood in the Dominican Republic. He holds a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Tennessee. Johnny currently resides in Washington, DC, with his family.
