Joe Gleberman is the Chief Executive Officer of The Pritzker Organization, the family merchant bank of the Tom Pritzker family, which deploys the family’s capital to grow businesses of all sizes in a range of industries with a focus on building long-term platform investments.
Previously, Joe was a partner/managing director at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he worked in investment banking and merchant banking from 1982 to 2014. He began his career in mergers and acquisitions, where he co-headed the technology practice in the late 1980s. Joe lived in Tokyo from 1990 to 1993, serving as head of Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions. In 1993, he joined the principal investment area, where he led investments in technology, health care and industrial companies, including Rambus, Citysearch, IPC Communications, Berry Plastics, Alltel and iHealth Technologies. In 2007, he became the chief risk and restructuring officer for the merchant banking division.
Joe serves on the board of trustees of the American Museum of Natural History. Previously, he served on several boards for The Nature Conservancy including Global Board Treasurer, Chair of the Board of New York, Chair of the Finance Committee and the inaugural Chair of the Investment Committee, of which he remains an Advisory Member. Mr. Gleberman holds a BA and MA in economics from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
