Maria Hugues Arthur

Maria Hugues Arthur supports the legal team at The Nature Conservancy, including its NatureVest unit, on impact investments. Before joining The Nature Conservancy, she was a corporate attorney at Nader Hayaux & Goebel, S.C. (NHG) in Mexico City, where she advised on various matters, including international and domestic finance and capital markets transactions. Before NHG, she was a corporate attorney at Galicia Abogados, S.C., in Mexico City.

In 2019, Maria pursued a program on Climate Change—Impacts, adaptation, and political constraints at the Paris School of Economics. She holds a Law Degree from Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro and an LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a member of the Mexican bar. Maria speaks Spanish (native) and French (basic).
