Biography
Thomas leads TNC’s engagements and relationships in the UK, working with partners across policy, business and civil society. Thomas engages with UK policymakers to offer the science, experience, and expertise from TNC’s global teams to support ambitious action for climate and nature. TNC’s work in the UK touches on multiple areas, including renewable energy, mobilising finance for biodiversity and climate, marine conservation, zero-conversion commodities, freshwater conservation, and sustainable agriculture.
Thomas also supports TNC’s public funding pipeline, working with teams across the organisation to access climate and biodiversity funding. TNC partners with the UK to deliver high quality programmes to halt and reverse biodiversity loss, tackle climate change, and help to build resilience and sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
Thomas has lived in London for over 10 years, but grew up in Derbyshire surrounded by the natural beauty of the Peak District National Park. Prior to joining TNC, Thomas completed a Masters in Environment, Politics, and Development at King’s College London.
