Why You Should Visit
Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area in Greene County is dedicated to providing quality wildlife viewing, hunting, and trapping opportunities while maintaining 8,064 acres of prairie and marsh habitat. It is owned and managed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
What to See: Plants and Animals
With nearly 5,000 acres of shallow water wetlands, 1,300 acres of prairie and over 30 miles of levees, Goose Pond FWA provides excellent wildlife watching opportunities. Over 260 bird species have been documented at Goose Pond FWA including Great Horned Owls, Northern Harriers, Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, and many others.
With thousands of acres to explore, there is no shortage of things to do at this beautiful nature preserve. Please adhere to IDNR's preserve rules.
