Savor the spectacular in Colorado by exploring some of the state’s unique gems, from a historic chautauqua nestled at the foot of the Flatirons to a bison ranch in the San Luis Valley to North America’s tallest sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. This trip promises to be filled with natural wonder and glimpses into the rich history of the western U.S. It also includes a front-row seat to the innovative conservation work taking place in a part of the world grappling with significant population growth, water conservation challenges and a rapidly changing climate.

- Stroll around artsy downtown Boulder and take a tour of the Colorado Chautauqua, a National Historic Landmark that celebrates a community of artists, nature lovers and lifelong learners.
- Visit the scenic wilderness of TNC’s Phantom Canyon Preserve, which boasts one of the last remaining roadless canyons along Colorado’s Front Range.
- Stay on-site and explore the Zapata Ranch on horseback and on foot in hopes of seeing elk, pronghorn, great horned owls and bison.
